I feel as though I should have written this journal sooner but due to well, being so busy, I haven't been able to concentrate enough to get this done. So, let's start

Amanda Todd, a Canadian girl who committed suicide last year after being harassed and bullied at school and online.

A girl in Stubenville, Ohio getting raped while drunk at a party by two high school football players who have recently been charged for it.

Audrie Potts also committed suicide, after apparently being raped and bullied.

Rehtaeh Parsons, ditto....

Hearing these stories made me feel both sick inside and glad they are at least getting attention and opening discussion.

For starters, let me explain my view on the Stubenville rape case. Those who know me well enough will know that I really do not like rape. I find it to be one of the most heinous things you can do to someone, guy or girl. When I heard that this case was nearly dismissed by much of the people in the town, I was pretty appalled, especially since there was strong proof something was going on. But I was glad to see at least the guys responsible were held accountable and "Anonymous" exposed some interesting details.

As for the suicides, I also found it appalling. The fact that people are driven to suicide by other peers like this really bothers me, apart from again, that they were raped as well (except for Amanda). One thing that really infuriates me though is people claiming that they were weak and deserved to die like some crazy Darwinist. Some people even claim that the issue isn't even worth talking about. In response, I say that if a person who never did any harm to you or anyone that you know of is so depressed, that he or she would consider taking their own life, and you don't give a damn at all, you clearly are not a likeable person.

Just thinking about all this makes me feel so mad!
